Introduction
There are 3 ways that a contact is created in charles:
They text you first
They leave their number in charles sign-up form
They have their number stored in your connected shop system or other integrations (and you choose to create contacts for them)
Contacts table
The contacts table gives you an overview of all contacts so filtering options are a little limited. If you want a more detailed view, it’s best to create to create a segment. See 🥧Segments & lists - Build a dynamic segment
Search for individual contacts by name, email and phone number
Filter your contacts by;
Individual opt-in and outs
Tags
Channel
Last conversation date
Order count
Select multiple contacts (by single-select or all) to choose a bulk action via the three-dot menu including;
Delete
Add tags
Delete tags
Add to list
Export data
Contacts widget
Clicking on a contact opens their individual contact
Check (and update) their individual contact
Plus, view their latest order information (if a shop system is connected) and opt-in status
