Updated over 2 months ago

There are 4 steps to sending a campaign:

  1. Getting started

  2. Create message template

  3. Build your audience

  4. Review and sendout

1. Getting started

Avoid duplicating campaigns

To avoid problems with tracking, start each campaign you send as a new one…

Create a new campaign from your charles Universe:

  • Navigate to “Campaigns” tab

  • Create new campaign

  • Check your WhatsApp Status (if not all green, see below)

  • Name your campaign

2. Create message template

Simply click on the text icon to add a text field. Then create your magic messages…

  • Save to finish later

  • Submit when done

Your template needs to be approved before final sendout. After your Template is “submitted” it normally takes 2-10 minutes (up to 48h) to be approved by Meta. After your template is approved it takes another 10-15 minutes before it can be send. Otherwise “Template doesn’t exist in this language” error

3. Build your audience

Segment with audience criteria

When building your audience during campaign creation, only use the green box. Here you can set parameters that segments your audience.

Send to a list

When sending campaigns to a pre-created list, only use the red boxes. Also, **disable the audience criteria by changing the toggle. (**There is an OR condition between the green and red box by default. This means not switching the toggle means being on the list OR meeting the criteria is enough).

4. Review and sendout

After you finished building your audience, move on to the final step, sending your campaign...

Remember, you need to wait 10 minutes after your message template was approved before testing and publishing will work

  • Check total audience number

  • Test campaign with yourself
