The process of verifying a FBM account. Your business must be registered with authorities and have a phone number and postal address.

Without getting your Facebook Business verified, you won’t have complete access to the WhatsApp API. Without verification, you’ll only have a 30 day trial period.

❗️We require all clients to be verified to use charles. The Admin of the Facebook Business Account has to go through this process within the Facebook Business Manager

Keep in mind that Facebook Business Verification differs from Facebook Business Page Verification. Refer to the image below to understand the difference:

❗️There are 3 different scenarios which you might encounter when starting the Facebook Business Verification:

  1. Your Facebook Business Verification is already complete: Reach out to your CSM to proceed with the WhatsApp Integration

  2. When opening your Facebook Business Manager, you see the “Verify” button but haven’t started

    1. In this case, you must start Business Verification immediately before proceeding with the WhatsApp integration

  3. If you do not see the “Verify” button, proceed with the WhatsApp integration. Our team will activate the WhatsApp Business Account so you can proceed with Business Verification from Facebook Business Manager UI

How to verify your business in Facebook Business Manager

  1. Open the Facebook Business Manager account (if you don’t have one yet, create it)

  2. Click on Business Settings from the menu

  3. Scroll down and click on Security Center (image)

  4. Click on Start verification (image). There are four steps to go through.

  5. First, you have to fill in business info, like business address, name, phone number, etc. (image)

  6. Based on the data you added, Facebook will show businesses from a database

  7. Select your business and then click ‘Next’

  8. You have to confirm your business data and details

  9. Choose a verification method to get the verification code

  10. Enter your verification code

  11. Click ‘Submit’
