Configuring the WhatsApp integration
Before you start, make sure you have the following ready:
A phone number ready to connect

Step 1 - Go to Integrations
Log in to your charles account.
In the left sidebar, click on Integrations.
Open the Available tab, find WhatsApp, and click Install.
A Facebook Login for Business pop-up window will appear.
Step 2 - Log in with your existing Facebook account
In the pop-up, you will be asked to continue with your Facebook account.
Click "Continue as [your name]" to proceed.
You will see an overview screen titled "Connect your account seamlessly with charles". Click Continue to proceed.
Step 3 - Select your Business Portfolio
Select the Business Portfolio under which you want to create the new WhatsApp Business Account from the dropdown.
Under WhatsApp Business Account, select "Create a new WhatsApp Business Account".
Click Continue.
Step 4 - Enter your business information
Enter or confirm your business information for the new assets, including:
Name of the WhatsApp Business Account
Category
Country
Website (optional)
Timezone
Fill in the required fields and click Continue.
Step 5 - Review and confirm permissions
You will see a summary screen titled "Review what you are sharing with charles". This screen lists the permissions charles is requesting, including:
Access to your Facebook ad accounts and statistics
Managing your business
Managing your WhatsApp accounts
Accessing and managing your WhatsApp conversations
Logging events as your WhatsApp Business Account
Click Confirm to grant charles access.
Step 6 - Connection complete
You will see a confirmation screen: "Your account is connected with charles."
This means your WhatsApp Business Account has been successfully linked to charles. Meta will verify that your business complies with the WhatsApp Commerce Policy and will notify you within 24 hours if there are any issues.
Click Finish to complete the setup.
You're all set!
Your WhatsApp Business Account will appear under Connected Apps in your charles account. If you have any questions or run into issues, please contact the charles support team.
