Check status quo

Head over to the Home screen and check the Shop information block to see the percentage of synced subscribers ➡️

A contact is synced when there’s a matching value (like email or phone number) between the shop system and charles. Check out 🪡Contact stitching for more details.

1. Set up a dedicated campaign (or keep this in mind for your next one):

  1. Create an audience with the following conditions (or use the segment from above):

2. Create your campaign → get creative and watch your engagement soar 🚀

See examples: Email collection

This strategy works best when you incentivise it in some way. For example, consider doing a raffle or including this as a part of your next exclusive WhatsApp promotion.

2. Combine the campaign with a flow that asks and store the email address

To collect free-text responses (i.e. what your customer messages you back) like email;

  1. Create a flow and add a message node

  2. Click the node to Edit

  3. Go to ⚙️ → Customer response settings ****and toggle ON Store customer response

  4. Select Store in charles contact property and make sure Email is selected

Note: The first response from your customer is stored (no matter the value) and the flow will only continue once your customer has responded.

Email subscriber base

Do you have a lot of email subscribers? Consider creating an email campaign that collects the WhatsApp number of your subscribers.

You can do this by adding a WA.ME link behind a CTA button that leads your subscribers to WhatsApp.

Don’t forget to ask and store the email address as above!

New subscribers

There are 2 key strategies you can keep in mind when collecting new subscribers to ensure they’re stitched correctly.

Combined pop-up

Collect both email and WhatsApp subscribers at the same time (e.g. using Klaviyo Forms):

Adding email to opt-in flow

Add a message node that asks and stores the email address in your opt-in flow (as above).

Do you see a “Waiting for this message. This may take a while." message? Don’t forget to add a reminder to your first message.
