Not only has our revenue attribution had a makeover, but we’ve gotten a new Home 🔥

🆕 Revenue attribution model
We get it. It’s crucial to measure the impact WhatsApp has on your bottom line. Which is why we’re excited to announce our ✨ own ✨ revenue attribution model.
Our attribution model relies on the number of contacts stitched between charles and the integrated shop system.
If the contact isn’t stitched between your shop system and charles, we can use coupon codes to attribute revenue.
Our 🆕 Revenue Dashboard displays the charles attribution model with the total revenue for campaigns and flows from 16 November 2023 onwards. Campaign-specific revenue is available in Campaigns and flow-specific data is available in Journeys.
How it works:
The customer places an order
We check if the contact is stitched from the shop to charles
If the contact is stitched we check the history of all ‣ within the attribution window
If the contact is not stitched we attribute the revenue based on the coupon code included in the campaign (coupon code attribution isn’t available in Journeys)
If the contact is not stitched and there’s no coupon code for the campaign, the revenue isn’t attributed
We identify the last event within the attribution window
The revenue is then attributed to the flow or campaign where the last event took place

Attribution window configuration
The attribution window refers to the specific timeframe which we consider when attributing revenue to a specific campaign or flow. The window is set to 5 days as default. But, we understand that it can vary depending on your industry so we make this configurable via Settings.
The timezone of the attribution window is based on the timezone of your account (also configured via Settings).
To adjust the attribution window, go to Settings → Configurations → Attribution window configuration.
Revenue dashboard
See our new revenue attribution in action on the new Revenue Dashboard which shows you the total revenue, total Campaign revenue and total Journeys flow revenue. Plus, quickly check your Revenue Per Conversation (RPC).
To access the Revenue dashboard go to Analytics → Revenue dashboard.
Don’t see Analytics? Only Agents with admin rights can access it. Please reach out to your charles Admin.
The Revenue Dashboard displays the total revenue for campaigns and flows from 16 November onwards.
Campaign and flow-specific data is coming in 2024.

Other enhancements
Campaigns
🧪 It’s now mandatory to test a message template before sending so that you can avoid any unnecessary surprises!
❌ If a deleted segment or list is used in a campaign scheduled for the future, we’ll highlight the segment or list under the campaign details page (but no worries, if this is the case we’ll still send the campaign using the configuration of the deleted list)
🖱️ Now it’s possible to multi-select contacts when preparing to send a test campaign
▶️ Since we’ve added campaign scheduling, we renamed Publish to Publish options to make it clearer that the campaign won’t publish straight away
Journeys
📞 We added phone number and email to the contact variables so you can use them in the Outgoing webhook node. This means they’re available to send to external systems
